We were scheduled to be keynote speakers for the South Dakota Family Business Initiative just days after the tragedies of September 11, 2002. Unable to get to Rapid City, we delivered a two-hour talk via telephone.
In the days intervening, we completely revamped the presentation, making it even more highly interactive than usual.
Director Clark Hammond raved about our willingness to make the conference move forward:
"You set the tone for an incredible event where members were more willing than ever to work hard and consider new ideas."
As evidence of our values, we chose not to charge the university, taking an in-person rain-check instead.
"In pointing out the pitfalls and how to confront them, they make you think about things you've never considered, much less discussed."
"This should be a mandatory session for all of our members."
"It was exciting to observe the interaction of our attendees, which was stimulated by your methods of presentation."
"Your program was, without a doubt, the best we've ever had."
"Dynamic instructors; complementary styles."
"Concrete steps offered to move forward."
"Your presentation really kept our attention."
"Great content."
"Can easily be taken back and used in real life."
"What I liked best was involving the audience."
